About Me

Who Am I?

Gülesin Atalay is a traveler who views life from an authentic and passionate perspective. While serving on boards of directors, providing consulting services, and offering mentoring in empathetic leadership, she creates space for inner peace through her journeys in yoga, breathwork, and nonviolent communication. A mother of three, Gülesin nurtures her passion for life through sailing, surfing, playing the flute, and improvisational theater.

Biography

Born in Izmir in 1981, Gülesin Atalay completed her high school education at Izmir Özel Türk Koleji and graduated from the Department of French and English Language Education at Gazi University in 2005. That same year, she began her professional career as a second-generation representative at the family-owned company Mutlu Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. Starting with import and export operations and subsequently taking on active roles in procurement, quality management systems, human resources, finance, customer relations, and business development, Gülesin Atalay has utilized her leadership skills to manage these processes, shape the company’s corporate identity, and lead numerous projects. Through these efforts, she has elevated Mutlu Metal A.Ş. to its rightful place among leading brands both nationally and internationally.

The experience he gained across all areas of operational and financial processes led to his appointment as Deputy Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Executive Committee from 2019 to 2021. He has continued to serve as Deputy Chairman of the Board since 2023.

In addition to her successful professional career as a senior executive and manager in a family business, Gülesin Atalay also dedicates time in her personal life to activities that align with her life’s purpose. She provides consulting and training in nonviolent communication, Yin Yoga and breathwork coaching, intergenerational transition in family businesses, leadership, strategic marketing, and sustainability.

Gülesin Atalay, who continues to take on active roles focused on contributing to and sharing her expertise on NGO platforms—in addition to her personal life—and whose work aligns with her life’s purpose, currently serves as a Board Member at Some Carbon and, as a volunteer within the Turkish Quality Association (KalDer), Co-Chair of the TAİDER Now Gen Community, TÜSİAD Representative and Board Member at BASİFED, Board Member at EGEKOBİDER, Member of the Executive Committee of the TOBB İzmir Women Entrepreneurs Council, and District Chair of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council in Torbalı.

My greatest source of inspiration and motivation in life is my children: Ekin, Yunus Eren, and Emre Eren.
